Hello,
I have been using Norton DNS and the the Norton DNS Client since it came out, and I am enjoying the new web filtering options; but I am having a problem.
I have tested Norton DNS even before the Client came out and did not have this problem.
I have Norton DNS set in my Belkin Router settings to 198.153.192.1 and 198.153.194.1, and things were going good; even after having the Norton DNS Client installed on two computers.
But the last few days Norton DNS has been saying that the Status is Not Protected, and nothing I do from the client fixes the problem; so I have had to manually set each computer to 198.153.192.1 and 198.153.194.1, which temporarily works until it somehow resets itself to the Default DNS (the automatically detect option).
I still have the router set, so that is good, but I am not sure why this keeps happening on two different computers now.
I use Comodo Internet Security Premium on both, Windows Defender, AVG LinkScanner, Norton DNS, Secunia PSI, and Peer Block (HTTP Allowed) in real-time; and Malwarebytes, Norton Power Eraser, and Hitman Pro for on-demand.
According to them both computers are malware free and Windows 7 32-Bit Ultimate is up-to-date on both.
So I am wondering if this is a Norton DNS Client issue or what?
Maybe someone can help me troubleshoot this problem. ;)
I will attach one of my Norton DNS log to this post. :)
Thank you,
-John Jr :)
