When you try to run an very new and unknown file, Norton Download insight warns you, giving you 3 options: to run the file anyway, not run it and leave it on the system and remove it immediately. You can add an additional option to submit the file to Symantec for further analysis.
Great idea, but Norton only scans downloads from plants, could see more like: Music, photos, videos, documents, all kinds of files. That would be amazing !!!!!!!!!
great idea of submitting new samples, but what threats if detected by SONAR - do not submitting automatically? it is worst of both. first - is only suspicious download, second - known as making couple of malware actions and can be reviewed fo False positive or to be blacklisted as know malware sample
Option to block/Quarantine the file is even better and must have option in download insight..i have seen many times bad file not Quarantined, even download insight mark it as.
