I tried Norton Driver Updater for free trial. 14 drivers updated. started paying for a subscription.
Found another software / driver updater for FREE. Tried that package. It found 24 other drivers not updated for over 10 years. lenovo Related Drivers
confused…why should I have to pay for driver updates on a Lenovo PC?
Why is there such a difference for model Lenovo Ideapad, Win11, 24H2?
Great question and points made. You shouldn’t pay for driver updates no matter the maker and model of your devices. Your OEM websites will have the latest drivers they created which should be utilized as much as possible. Additionally, Windows Updates delivers drivers for every version of Windows I have used as far back as Windows 7. WU will do so with the latest modern OS releases on a regular basis if your settings allow for it. Using a third party snake oil program is a waste of $ and also can cause your devices to not function correctly, even not even boot. Use your OEM and Windows Updates. Save yourself the headaches that can result with 3rd party software. Just my suggestion from years of experience. Never depend on non OEM websites for drivers either.
