What do you do?

I would look at the router settings, specifically the ARP table for connections to see if a device shows there with that IP address. And, whether its a device already trusted on the network. If its already there, known to the user, and if its bound to a MAC address known to be a trusted device its good. Otherwise. I would disconnect it anyway and reboot the router to see whether it reappears or not.
