Norton Family Chromebook support

Does Norton Family work for Chromebooks? I have two Chromebooks I have been sharing with my 3 kids to support them at School and I would like to have a solution to protect them during surfing/sharing on the Web.

can we get a chromebook update or what? does chromebook not require security or is it a compatability issue whats going on?

I'm waiting for Chromebook support as well. I'm surprised after many years that it still is not.
