In order to intall Dell Supportassist one need to disable Norton firewall.

There’s not much to show. I tried installing the new version of Dell Supportassist 4.10.1 multiple times, and each time, the installer froze at the beginning of the installation. After analyzing its logs, I determined that it couldn’t see a connection to the installation server. So I disabled the Norton Firewall. That helped. The installation went smoothly.

When Norton firewall is on:
Internet works for other applications.
Yeah, ran into this too. Just temporarily disable the Norton firewall during the install, then turn it back on after SupportAssist is done. Or add SupportAssist as an exception in Norton settings if you don’t wanna fully turn it off.
