Norton Firewall Block screen sharing

Detailed description:
Norton updated automically to the newest version of Norton 360 on 15 December 2024 and after the update I tried several times to connect to my tv screen but the computer is unable to connect. I can connect only when I disable Norton firewall from settings. Does any one has any solution to this.

Please try to turn off Norton Auto-Protect and Firewall and see if the issue was fixed or not. I see multiple complaints about this issue across the web.

I think I found the solution. Add a firewall port unblock for TCP port 7236 IN (“Out” shouldn’t be needed). Let us know if this works.

Day 30 of my official norton captivity. After contacting “Selvakumar.S EMPLOYEE” with details of the norton malfunction, I was told to “Please wait till we get an update on this.”.
