Norton firewall blocking Amazon Appstore on Windows 11 using WSA

Hello all....

Norton 360 Firewall blocking Amazon Appstore on Windows 11 utilizing WSA.

I can disable the Norton Smart Firewall and then access the Amazon Appstore ok.

I don't see what I need to change in Norton Firewall settings.

Any ideas?

Final report.....all still good. I feel the final solution was turning the 'Active' box off then on again.

Sorry for not mentioning that point, but yes, it was checked. I also unchecked & then re-checked it. You know how that works sometimes. All still good for now, we'll see tomorrow.

Did you check the setting for WSA and select "custom", verify that the check box on the left is checked under active?

Every program is set to 'Allow' including WSA. Only about 40 entries there.

Maybe I need to create a new entry or perhaps something under 'Traffic Rules?'

Check your Norton firewall and find the entry listed in settings>firewall>program control. Check to see whether the "access" on the right side states "Allow". If not change it and reboot. Lets see if that makes a difference depending on what your settings currently are or aren't. You may also want to change that to "custom", a rules page will appear. Make sure there is a check mark on the little box on the left under Active.

Hello again,

Today the issue returned after laptop was off all night. Can't connect to Amazon appstore in Windows 11 using WSA.

Disabling Norton Smart Firewall immediately allowed the connection.

Same fix again, doing the 'Reset' in Norton 360 Firewall & re-enabling the firewall.

Any thoughts on a more permanent fix?

I did a reset and the issue seems to be solved.

I'll test it further in the next few days.

Hello Len. So you are using the Windows 11 app from the Microsoft store and/or cannot log into the app with Windows Subsystem for Android? Have you done a "rest" of Norton firewall to have it automatically set programs and access?
