Norton Folder in my Shared Documenst Folder

Why does Norton have a folder in my shared document folder for each version of the A/V I installed?  I assume I can delete the folders for the previous years.  Does in have to be in the Shared Documents? This year's (2012) is called {NAV19113-SHPD-FSD21017}

I just read a text file that is in the folder.  It looks like its a way to make it easy to install the app on another computer.  I don't really know if there is an advantge to that.  When I update from one year to the next, I just click on the "check for updates" link and go from there on each computer.

Hello JeffLeites

Saving the downloaded new version of the product might be specifically helpful for those users with limited download internet plans or a metered broadband. They just have to download once and can use it to install the product on other machines that they may have.

Hope this helps.
