norton freezes when updating drivers

Issue abstract:
when updating drivers Norton freezes
Detailed description:
Norton finds 8 drivers that need updating but regardless whether I attempt to update them once at a time or all together, the update just shows a rotating arrow circle for hours without updating anything. I used Norton uninstall and reinstall but no change.
Product & version number:
Norton 360 for Windows. Norton Driver Updater
OS details:
Windows 11 Home. Ver v23h2, build 22631.4249. Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 7900X 12 core. 64 GB ram. NOTE: I have a secondary drive (Win 10) transferred from my previous computer but Norton is installed on my new drive not the old one.
What is the error message you are seeing?
when updating drivers Norton freezes just showing an arrow circling even if I let it run overnight.

Hello Curtis. We recommend extreme caution when using Driver Updater. The addon is NOT prime time ready. Windows updates and your OEM manufacturer websites are the most reliable sources of drivers. Driver Updater can render your PC not bootable in some instances. Ignore DU. Don’t use it.
