Norton Ghost 14 file backup problem

Hi,

I created a file backup of a particular folder and called it AAC backup. I succesfully backed it up but later decided to delete the backup. I went onto the backup drive and deleted the backup folder it had created and I went into Norton Ghost, chose "Run or Manage Backups" highlighted the AAC backup and deleted it.

 

Later, I created another backup called AAC again as I decided I did want this backup, however when this is run it comes up succesful and says no changes found since last backup (but I deleted the folder previously). I have even gone and deleted recovery points on the backup drive but it still wont work It still thinks my origional backed up data is still there? Can anyone help please.

There's a reference to the old backup that hasn't been deleted.  Do the following (you'll likely need to recreate your backups):

Stop the Ghost service (Start > Run > Services.msc > RIght Click the Norton Ghost serice and choose stop)

Search for and delete all *.pq* files (you'll want to make sure all files - including hidden files and folders - is selected)

Reboot
