Norton Ghost 14 Restore Error

I have Norton Ghost 14 (14.0.1.24977) installed on a new computer (not attached to the Internet). System utilizes 2 SATA hard drives and SATA DVD burner. I can create backups to my secondary hard drive with no problems and have restored logical drives on the primary hard drive other than the OS C: drive (Windows XP Pro) without any problems. However, when I attempt to restore the C: drive via the Norton Recovery CD, I get an error ED800012. The first time this happened, I went back into normal startup and used Ghost to copy the backup from my secondary hard drive (where it was stored with HIGH compression) and copied it to my E: drive on the primary hard drive using STANDARD compression. Then when I attempted the restore via Recovery CD, it worked with no problems.

I attempted this again today and now I get this ED800012 error regardless of where the backup is located and regardless of compression. Note that when Ghost is copying the backup from the secondary to the primary drive, I set the flag to verify after creation and it does this without errors.

Does anyone have ideas on how I can resolve this? Until then I have to manually back it up using Ghost 2003 which works without any problems - ever. I had a similar problem on my home computer using Norton Save and Restore. What is the deal here? These products used to be flawless in backup and restore and now it seems that all I have are problems.
