Norton Ghost 15 clone to external HD "missing bootmgr"

Hi, I am new to this software and cloning.

I have a number of identical Laptops recently purchased and I have one set up with all the software and setting I would like to copy onto all my other laptops. They are running windows 7.  I ran Ghost and went to tools, Copy my Hard Drive.  I used an external 120gb sata HD (that was normally used as just storage, but was wiped) to use as a bootable drive to set up the other laptops.  Its connected using USB male to male.

I ran the copy drive

i choose the drive I wanted to copy as C

I choose the destination to be F (the external's drive letter)

and checked the options to be bootable and MBR

It runs through the backup and just says "ready" above the progress bar after an hour of going through the process.

It didn't work. So I redo it, this time without the MBR selected and when I try to run the external hard drive as the bootable disc through bios on the new laptop it pops up with "missing bootmgr"  cntrl +alt +del to restart.

I'm missing something, but not sure whats wrong. Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in adavance.
