Norton Ghost 15 SRD .ISO File

Is there any way/where a user with a Trial version of Ghost 15 can download the SRD .ISO file. Without the SRD there is no way the product's recovery process can be fully tested. ATIH 2010 trial lets the user create a 'Rescue' CD, why doesn't Ghost?

To use the SRD (Ghost, 360, or NIS SRD) you have to have a license key. If you do not have you will not be able to boot (well, the winPE will load, but you will not be able to do anything in it) into the SRD, and use it's functions.

And because of this mechanism/protection unfortunately the SRD(s) are useless for the trial users.

Not true since the trial will still expire, the SRD then is of minimal value.

I have Ghost 9, 10, 14 and 15 licensed products but when suggesting a solution on Microsoft's and other forums I end up suggesting the user download the trial version of Aconis True Image Home 2010 as the trial does allow the user to create the equivalent of an SRD (Acronis Rescue Disk) so they can not only create Image Backups but also using the Acronis 'Rescue' CD restore that image.

And let me tell you I hate to recommend Acronis but without the Norton SRD the trial in my opinion is all but worthless.

Once a user tries a product they are likely to buy it.  Thats why I asked the question about the SRD, just trying to help the user solve their problem and Symantec sell more product.

That's true, but you do not have a subscription/product key when you install the trial, and that key is needed by using the SRD.

I fully understand you, but it is only Smyantec's decision how they build up their product, we can only suggest them changing some of them, adding new ones, etc....

PapauZ,

Is your non-custom CD different from mine? I need to enter a serial number to create an image but everything else works without a serial. A restore doesn't need a serial.
