I have a Sony FW seties laptop running Windows 7. I have used Norton Ghots 15 (15.0.1.36526) for about 12 months. When it works, it is superb. However, 6 months ago it stopped working and produced an error message. One of your tech guys sorted it out (I seem to recall him saying something had been reset to manual instead of auto). That did the trick for about 4 months, then it happened again about 3 weeks ago. The tech Guy this time, took over my comp and completely cocked it up - the keyboard ended up typing gobbledygook. He vaished, never to be heard from since! I had to restore from an old backup and update everything manually. The next 2 backups worked fine. Then last week, I had an error message Error E0BB061/Error EBAB03F1/UMI:V-0--187-97. This happened 6 times on the trot. Then mysteriously the backup succeeded at the 7th attempt. I tried to do a backup yesterday and again today but the same error messages as last week appeared - 11 times!! and I gave up. I usually backup to a removable HDD (USB2) and had no problem for ages ( as noted above) Now I am tearing my hair out and no up-to-date backup! I haven't found a relevant topic on the forum!
