Back in 2004, I had bought the Norton Ghost 8.2 (or 9.0) and backed up my then newly bought desktop computer on to 3 DVDs.
I recently bought Norton Ghost 12.0, after removing the older version. Following a Viral attack on this desktop, I now want to restore my computer to its original state (as in 2004). But I can't find the Ghost 8.2 or 9 Installation CD anywhere (I may have accidentlally thrown it away). I still have the backup DVDs with me, which is unreadable by Ghost 12.0.
Could someone help by letting me know how I can restore my computer back to 2004 backup from the old backup.

OK. Then they were not created by Ghost 9. But they can be restored by Ghosts 9 and 10 as well as Ghosts 8.* and 11.*
Actually, I just found out that, the first of the 3 backup DVDs is a Self-Bootable DVD and the first thing it does is, it boots up the PC using PC-DOS and shows how to restore the data to the appropriate partition. I also found out that the backup was created using Ghost 2003 and not Ghost 8.2 (as mentioned ealier). Because of this, I was able to restore my Desktop to my September 2004 backup.
Thanks anyways.
