I run ver 14 on my XP pro. It has worked flawlessly for over a year.
I just purchased a new hard drive to replace my smaller external hard drive for external backups. I then put that old external drive in my computer (it replaced an even smaller internal backup drive) to use as my additional internal backup drive (yes I do two backup images per day...one internal and one external).
Now every morning when I boot the system, Ghost has a red X and says that Norton Ghost Status: At Risk. However the scheduled image backups still seem to be working just fine. Interestingly, if I try to open Ghost to see what it thinks is at risk, or once a backup is started, the red X goes away...so that when Norton Ghost opens it says all is fine???
I did open the log and found the following statement amongst the gobly gook in there:
4.05 0.25 0.25 MainForm.InitBetaComments exception: Unable to load DLL 'bclib.dll': The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
I don't know if this has anything to do with the misterious red X?
Any ideas why I'm seeing the red X at boot but changes to the green check mark if I open Ghost or if it runs it's scheduled backup?
