When using Norton IDSafe on iPad 3, while browsing, if I accidentally click "save link" I'm unable to permanently remove that link from my "download" tab in settings. Overt time, these links have accumulated and like I said, there is no way I can permanently delete them, any help available?
Thanks for responding Peterweb. Perhaps I didn't explain myself well. I have no issues with bookmarking. The issue I have is perhaps better explained by giving an example. If I click on either a link or an image in order to "open in a new tab" but accidentally press "save link", which is located just beneath "open in new tab", this saves the link to my "Downloads" located under my Settings tab. I can remove these accidentally saved links from my Downloads in Settings by swiping and deleting; however, once I return to my Settings / Downloads, they reappear? Any thoughts how I can permanently delete the saved links? Hope this makes sense...
Thanks Nina...

OK, I see what you are referring to, and can confirm it is also happening on my iPad 3.
My iPad is on IOS 7.1.1, and I use ID safe version 3.1.16.
If you can post this information for your iPad, I will see if Symantec employee @RDLeo can look into this for us.
I'm also on iPad 3 IOS 7.1.1 though I can't seem to locate what version of Norton ID Safe I use - if it's any help, I always update my ID Safe from the App Store when available. I don't suppose you could tell me how I can find my version?
Thanks again Peterweb (is that a play on Peter Parker's Spider Man, Peterweb?)
Hi Ninap661
I have not used my iPad for a month or so now but if the Norton Identity Safe (NIDSafe) iOS app and it’s UI is the same on my iPhone you just have to do the following to find the NIDSafe version number.
Tap the NIDSafe button bottom of screen then tap the Settings gear icon then select the Help option, then tap About.
The above steps should give you the current installed version of NIDSafe on your iOS Apple device.
I hope that helps.
Cheers
Smithy's instructions are right on to get the version number.
And no, I have no relation to Peter Parker. I've been using peterweb as an online persona for many years before the Spiderman movies were even thought of.
Thanks a lot Smithy, your directions worked and I can confirm my version of ID Safe is also 3.1.16.
I have one other slight issue with regards to ID Safe on iPad 3 which is, I'm unable to remain "signed in" to my Norton account using either my Norton ID Safe browser or Safari - automatically logs me out after about 3 seconds. I usually try to accesses my Norton Zone through my account login, though I have no trouble doing so on my PC?
Would it be worth starting a new thread regarding this matter?
Thanks Smithy & Peterweb...
Hi Ninap661
Perhaps with the issue with the apo locking you out you could check the Auto Lock settings for your NIDSafe app.
Sign in and open the NIDSafe app then tap the NIDSafe button then the Settings gear icon, then select the Vault option then the Security option and after that tap Auto Lock.
There you can customize the lock time for the NIDSafe app.
In the Settings you can also set up a 4 digit pin to use each time you start up and unlock or open the NIDSafe app instead of the Norton Account details or cloud passwords.
Keep us posted on how you go.
Cheers
Smithy, I really appreciate your help, I should have at least ventured into the security features and had a look for myself. It's working fine now.
I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if the "Download" issue gets resolved...
Thanks again, Nina...
No worries Nina I am glad I could help
with your questions and issues.
Cheers.
