After the recent update on my iPhone I can no longer save a login without a login URL. If I try to update an existing login that does not have a URL I get ‘Invalid URL’. Not all the logins I have stored are for web pages. I can’t find a setting that allows me to get around this. Is this a bug or a new feature??
The new update for IDSafe app for iOS have resolved this issue, request to check if the issues is fixed.
Kindly recommend to close the thread if the issue is solved.Thank you.
Have any of you tried to use a dummy URL such as "work.net" or "Facebook.app"? The .net should work, just wondering about the .app extension.
I agree that we shouldn't be forced to put in a URL. Put a warning in about an invalid URL if you want, but it should still save the information. I moved from another password manager to Norton ID safe because of the portability, AND the ability to store multiple types of logins (network, apps, etc). Now some designer has decided that the app is only for web logins. Heading to the APP store to change my rating and post a review. Norton used to be responsive to customers.

Other password managers may function the way you are asking. Norton was designed for web logins.
Sorry I could not be more help.
Hmmm. Not the answer I was hoping for. I can also put in a dummy URL to MAKE it work. For a password manager I shouldn’t be limited web logins. Notes doesn’t have the logical fields to store username/pwd. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
If you are not storing login info for a web login, you use the Notes function in ID Safe. When you log into the vault, tap on Notes on the left side of the screen. Tap on the '+' to add a new note. You can store any information there you want.
iOS 9.3.1
Sorry I don’t think I have been clear enough about my problem.
I am not trying to log in to a non web application using ID safe. I just want to be able to store a username and password without having to populate the URL field. Eg. A Windows network username/pwd.
Hope this makes sense.
Try signing out of your vault and Norton Account (tap on sign out beside your email address at the bottom of the vault sign in page, you may have to scroll down). Then reboot your phone. Then log back into your ID Safe. You will first have to enter your Norton Account email and password. Then you will be asked for the Vault password.
What IOS version do you have on the phone?
Can you give a specific example of a non web application you can log into with ID Safe, that used to work before the last update? Maybe then I can test for you.
I use the safe as a passwords vault as well as for logging in to web pages. So some of the logins I store are for non- web applications or network accounts. So auto login us not required. I have turned off automatic login on the saved login but it is still trying to force me to put in a login URL. Up until the last update a login URL was not required.
Can you give an example of a login that is not for a web page that used to work?
