Norton Identity Extension for Mac Safari 1.9.0f7

With Norton Identity Extension for Mac Safari 1.9.0f7 installed, the Enable Safe Search option is grayed out.  It works on 2 other Macs properly.  Any ideas as to how to fix it?  I've uninstalled the plugin, then reinstalled it with no success.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Also in follow-up I see that Norton Identity consistently crashes.

In order to help you with this issue, we would need some information noted below:

 

  1. Your Mac OS X version.
  2. Version of Norton Internet Security running on your Mac.
  3. Browser in use, Safari or Firefox and its version. 

Also, does the crash occur when you try to enable the Norton Identity plugin or randomly on browsing the Internet?
