Norton Identity Safe Password Manager - how good is it?

I currently don't use this feature in IS mainly because I find the equivalent tool in Chrome fairly good. It isn't 100% but if a site doesn't want to permit this type of management it will not allow pw management irrespective of good the manager is.

So I suppose my question boils down to is Norton Identity Safe password manager better than the Chrome feature & if so why?

TIA

Thanks for the link senthilkumar. I was really looking for end user experience. I know what the product is supposed to do but really need to find out just how good (or not) it is.

Like I said Chrome has password & other features which I quite like - only drawback is you have to use Chrome if on a different machine (I think).

Norton has to be installed to fully use the features of Identity Safe on another machine.

All PW managers have issues. I know that Chrome's does not save *every* site logon's because of the way a site is constructed to stop auto key loggers I suppose & I'd expect that both Norton & any other products out there would have similar issues.

Norton also will have a stand alone version > Identity Safe Beta

I'm using Identity Safe for Forum logins and Software subscriptions - but not for online banking!

For me Identity Safe does a good job.

What do you use for Online Banking & why not ID Safe

I've use ID Safe for Online Banking since ID Safe was added to NIS

Granted, for multi-page login scenarios....I'll use SignupShield (free version)

TIA

Jo,

Still the best computer available for keeping things secure. Someday I hope to upgrade to 128 bit, currently running an older model that's only 64 bit.:smileywink:
