NORTON INSIGHT =AFTER UPGRADE TO 2014 WON'T 'RUN'

Hi - just finished upgrading to newer version of NIS (21.0.13)   (Win XP)  -tried 'insight protection -won't run -came here & just saw another poster with same problem - i don't want to try to do anything myself ie: uninstall/reinstall, etc. etc.  so ...will there be a 'patch' in the offering to correct this ?    bottom line, do i 'need' Insight Protection (everything else seems just fine. )  if this Norton Insight situation is not resoveable t without a new install of NIS then   i'm almost sorry i just did this upgrade !    ;(

PS:  In former version(s) in the Performace area ,  was there ability to 'delay' startup items or is this a new feature?  thanks so much !
