Have you tried running an InSight Scan yourself since then?
How do you do that?
Do you just click on the icon that says Norton Insight? If it is I think I have done that.
Yes this is how you do it. Errors can happen for various reasons. Maybe you truned off your pc while Norton was doing some back round tasks. I would not worry about it.
Hi nis:
See if this is the same problem you are having:

Hope this helps.

Not exactly. Norton Insight Scan ran as a background task. What should I do?
Hi nis,
Norton Insight Scan will run while the system is in the idle state - but even when the task has started during an idle period, Norton Insight Scan will stop prior to completion when the system becomes non-idle. Coming out of the idle state could be the result of user activity or could be the result of other non-interactive tasks that have placed demands on CPU, I/O, Network or other shared resources.
When Norton Insight Scan is stopped prior to completion because of system activity (when system exits from the idle state or reboot), the Background Jobs Status attribute will show a status of cancelled or failed to complete. Your protection is never comprimised as a result of these cancelled tasks, and the cancelled task will be (re)scheduled to run on next idle period.
Regards,
Kevin
