Anybody here with the experience that Norton cannot be installed on a new laptop, with a purchased link to Norton 360 Plus?
Waiting for the senior team of the helpdesk but in the meantime asking suggestions myself to sort the problem. Any tips here?

yeah, taken off the Mc afee account that was pre-installed. Anything else i should have dismantled?

Just meaning it was a regular box with a product key (Norton 360 Deluxe) that i bought with my laptop.

no, got the stuff sent home and tried installing from the website using the product code as I did many times on my previous laptop. Hence this time it didnāt install but said āsomethingās wrongā (equivalent), suggested to try again or contact the helpdesk. Tried approx 10 times to install now and contacted the helpdesk twice. no avail.

Iām wondering whether new plan needed to be in-store activated (shop lifting deterant)?
Made up new Norton account as my old laptop still has a short period of the previous Norton left to transfer and clean all data. Different email addresses used to avoid confusion. Not store activated as far as I know.
Via Norton I should be able to install - automatically downloading into exe file. At least this is what iām used to.
Also placed topic on community of shop.

What happens when you contact Customer Service and Support for assistance?
nothing installed as yet. Only when to install this message comes up.
Norton Helpdesk tried installing as well and removed the McAfee. I used the removal tool once more to ensure McAfee is totally gone. It is.
Now the Helpdesk tells me to wait until a senior is available. The wait is now 3 x 24 hours.
The new account doesnt show any previous orders. Which is correct as I used the Norton on my work related and old laptop. Now this is a new laptop for private use.

Maybe, you want to keep the work account separate?
Maybe, work account plan is employer paid/provided?

The work account was to be kept separate but iād like to deduct and find out what the problem is here. The work account was for my consulting work, paid by myself too. Hence, i can use the account for my new laptop but still the account finishes in a weekās time. (business stopped.) Only - i donāt want to get into a mess using 2 different Norton accounts on one laptop..

Norton support may be able to merge the two plans ā under one account ā if you want.
May be best ā to document/report āissueā directly via Norton support.
