Norton Interfaces are not view-able (transparent), tried many fixes need help

Hi...need assistance after spending 8hrs trying various "possible" solutions.

PROBLEM = Suddenly Unable to view any Norton product user interfaces (i.e. Task Manager states product is running, but Norton panels, windows, interfaces are all completely transparent). Previously had no problems using Norton Products (i.e. have used same laptop with Norton installed for several years and upgraded Norton products without difficulty).

DEVICE & OS = HP Pavilion Laptop running Windows Vista.

*NOTE: Previously had Norton Internet Security and after subscription ended, installed Norton Security which worked without problems for several months.

SOLUTIONS ATTEMPTED = 

1st -- Attempted several re-boots, installed Windows updates, tried Norton Live-update... etc. the basic solutions for errors.

2nd -- Have attempted several "uninstalls" and "re-installs", using the recommended instructions from Norton Support and using the Norton Removal Tool.

3rd -- Have attempted to run and install the Norton Power Eraser, however even in Safe Mode the NPE user-interface is transparent too. Therefore, unable to view any of the settings or installation instructions.

Basically, at this point I have no way of viewing the interfaces for any Norton Product. I am very frustrated, having been a faithful Norton customer for nearly two-decades, this is the first time that I have been unable to use their products.
