I’m curious why NiS2009 is like one of the very few Antivirus/Security Suites that fail to block variants of Vundo. I was browsing the other night and downloaded a file that was infected (Trialware from a torrent site) I had forgot I had tried this one previously on my other system which has BitDefender2009 installed. BD2009 blocked this no problem at all, yet NiS2009 said it blocked the attack, but it was still installed. I had a ton of start-up entries and files from this attack NiS supposedly blocked. So my question is why your program is saying its blocking things, but not actually doing anything? BitDefender blocked it successfully and the definitions for that are over 3 weeks old (due to me not renewing it for Norton) So seriously, a fully updated, fully activated NiS2009 couldn’t block this, but an outdated AV program could? Should I just give up and move on to another AV suite?
