Norton Internet Security 2009 has stopped working

Hello,

 

I use Norton Internet Security 2009 on my Windows 7 computer. It came pre-installed for 60 days, and it has not been 60 days since activation yet. I don't know when it happened, but likely within the last week or so, but Norton stopped working. I still recieve the safety readings next to sites on Google, but they are undisplayed images, and to find if the site is safe or not, I must check the name of the images in their properties. The Norton toolbar has disappeared in both IE and Firefox, and when I click the desktop shortcut, nothing happens. Oddly, however, when I click the taskbar shortcut on the bottom right, it opens the box to start, but the gui is missing, nothing comes up in the box but a shade of gray. The uninstall still shows up, though.

As you are using a pre-installed version of NIS 2009, I would suggest you to contact the Technical Support using the following link:

I have already done a full system scan using an updated form of Windows Defender. I have a feeling it was due to som updates and I think I know when it happened now, so I should be able to fix it.
