I have a small network of two clients and one file server. All Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8 installed. I just installed Norton Internet Security 2010, version 17.1.0.19. I can copy and move files among all the systems just fine.
But when I download a file from the Internet on one of my clients and specify a location on my networked file server, here is what happens. The file seems to copy but then hangs at the end. If I go over and look at the file on the server, it looks complete. However, when I select the file on the server, I get the hour glass and the server is hung up. If I reboot the server, then I can access or delete the file on the server. Must be some firewall setting. Any ideas are appreciated.
