Should work now. Apparently I had them off oops.
Any news on this?
Hi,
The team is investigating this. I will let you know once I have any update on this.
Thank you for your patience!
Vineeth
Just to add today when I started a full system scan. It was done scanning and when I got back the screensaver turned off. Then I noticed the Idle Scan in progress toast from the system tray. So I think that toast pop up is preventing the screensaver from staying on.
Oddly like I mentioned before this does not happen on Windows 7.
Thanks for looking into it.
Someone needs to make sure that the email support teams have access to current support info - here is the request I just recevied from the official Norton support dept. - totally contrary to the facts above:
---------------------
Thank you for contacting Norton Support.
I am sorry to hear that the Internet Explorer crashes whenever you try to access the Google Advanced Search as well as the Outlook webpage access.
I would like to inform you that Norton will not have any impact on crashing the Internet Explorer. The job of Norton is to only scan your computer for threats and monitor the web activities.
We will reset your Internet Explorer settings on the computers which have Internet Explorer issue and check whether the Internet Explorer crashes.

2. Click on Tools and select the Internet Option
3. Click on Advanced Tab
4. Look for the button says Reset

If the issue persists even after performing the reset of Internet Explorer, then we will remove the Norton program and check the root cause of the issue.

Here is a screenshot of the problem:
This is what happens when the Idle Scan comes on. It interrupts the screen saver.
3 months later almost and no answer.
