A Norton supervisor named Lester claims that NIS 2011 no longer has virus definitions available for it. Obviously, this is false. My advice? Use this board for correct information on Norton products, not live chat.

The truth is that NIS 2011 does not get Product Updates anymore, so no improvements.
Virus updates are still available down to version 2008 or even older.
General advice would be : update to at least V19 (2012); V20 is not in all cases stable, depending on the OS.

I don't like 2013 and I'll tell you why. When I use Norton Identity Safe, I must click a website from my Favorites list in IE, because if I click on a website from my list of NIS logins, it doesn't just fill the ID and password fields, but it also logs into the website. For my online banking website, I must CLICK login. Anything else (like the NIS 2013 auto-log in) locks me out of my account. No thanks.
