I have the Norton Internet Security 2011 version 18.5.0.125. When I click on the settings button, a window pops up saying "An error has occured with Norton Internet Security. Error 3005, 100"
What might be the problem?
Thanks

Hi AudiR8,
Does this post help? http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/NIS-2011-settings-error-3005-100/m-p/344126
No I have already tried that twice. After installing version 18.1, I run live update and after that, the settings button stops working.
Any ideas why?
Hi AudiR8,
Do you have any other Security Products installed?
We need logs to better assist in researching the cause of the issues you are experiencing.
Could you use the below steps to collect logs and upload them?
1) Download - http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/pcs/logvector/SymNRA.zip and extract it to C:\SymNRA
2) Launch SymNRA.exe from the C:\SymNRA location
3) Click on “I Accept…” and click “Next”
4) Click on “Advanced” and click on the top 3 checkboxes (everything but the Logmein one)
5) Click “Yes” to restart the computer.
6) After that, reproduce the issue.
7) (If the computer has stopped responding, Reboot)
8) End the logging – it will give you a location of where the logs are.
After you have the files, send me a Private Message and I'll let you know where to upload the logs.
Hi,
I solved the problem. Thanks for the help though.

It was Tim Lopez's thread here, not Tony Weiss.
Best wishes.

Hi nbastar,
Welcome to the Norton Community. Did you have the paid or free version of MalwareBytes?
I would recommend that you go ahead and collect the logs which Tim talks about above.
Best wishes.
