Norton Internet Security 2012/2013 Error 8504, 104

I've been a Norton user since 2007, and I've had NIS on this machine for around a year. Since November, NIS has refused to start up normally since auto-updating to 2013. Unlike most problems I've had with Norton, none of the typical or posted solutions on this board seen to work, as regardless of a successful Norton reinstallation after running NRnR, the next reboot of the system returns to the same, non-booting state for NIS.

 


Please help.
