I shall soon need to renew my NIS 2012 licence for another year. Looking at various retail prices (all cheaper than Symantec!), I notice that (strangely) it is actually cheaper to buy "NORTON Internet Security 2012 Performance Pack - 3 PCs" which includes NIS 2012, rather than NIS 2012 by itself.
I only need to buy this to get a new key for NIS 2012, but am not sure whether the key that will come with the "Performance Pack" will be valid for renewing my NIS 2012 licence.
Hello n2009user27 and good day to you. By "Norton Internet Security 2012 Preformance Pack", do you mean the bundle that contains NIS 2012, Norton Ghost and Norton Utilities? I'm not familiar with the Preformance Pack.
Hello again n2009user27. I still don't know about that performance pack. All I can say is I purchased a software bundle, that did include NIS2012, Norton Ghost 15 and Norton Utilities (I don't know what version). I used the key from that NIS2012 to renew my NIS2011, with no problems. I haven't used the Ghost 15 or Utilities programs but the three item bundle was cheaper that just NIS2012. Hopefully someone more familiar with that Performace Pack can give you a better answer.
The Performance pack version is not on sale everywhere under that name and since you are in the UK you could call the UK support number and ask them but since it is a bundle and if the price may not be around then I'd try it since Norton do have a money back warranty for 60 days even if you bought from a store and even if you have used the product or in this case opened it and tried the KEY ....
