I bought and installed Norton IS2013 recently and now I can`t access wifi, even in places I had previously visited and used the internet through wifi. I travel a lot and previous hotels, hostels and cafes as well as friends' flats etc. The odd thing is, I can`t use Firefox or connect to steam but Skype still works just fine plus it also works if I use a cable which isn`t possible in cafes and hotels. I have tried turning off Norton and its firewall but this didn`t work either. Any help would be much appreciated.

I checked the device manager and everything is fine there. How do I delete the wireless adaptors before I reboot? Would I need a copy of windows or an internet connection for them to reinstall?

You need to run Device Manager from an administrator account. Then right click on the Wireless device and select Properties. From the Drivers tab, click on Uninstall. Then reboot your computer.
When Windows starts, it will find the drivers on your computer. You might want to go back into device manager to go back to the wireless device and click on update driver to make sure you have the latest version.
