I updated to NIS earlier today and I am having a number of problems with the Norton 2014 browser extensions in Firefox 24 as listed separately below.
BROWSER HANGS - Firefox 24 hangs while the 2014 Norton Browser Toolbar is loading; the Norton toolbar text appears in an enlarged toolbar for a few seconds and then the normal toolbar text and images appear. No problems with 2013 browser extensions or with 2014 extensions disabled.
DEFAULT PAGE WILL NOT LOAD - My default Google home page (start.mozilla.org/en-US/) in Firefox 24 displays “The information you requested could not be retrieved.” when the 2014 Toolbars are enabled. No problems with 2013 browser extensions.
CRASHES - Firefox 24 crashes when restarting Firefox with the NIS 2014 toolbars enabled. No problems with 2013 browser extensions or with 2014 extensions disabled.
ANNOYING PROMPT - The vault login-in screen prompts me to convert my local vault to a cloud vault EVERY TIME the vault is opened. Is there any way to disable the annoying prompt? Somewhat of a rhetorical question - why is Norton so pushy to gain acces to my personal information via a cloud vault?
Related, I updated NIS until no additional updates were available, all problems occur with all other extensions are disabled and I had absolutely no problems with NIS 2013 browser extensions.
Any solutions wold be greatly appreciated; my next steps will be to stop using Norton extensions in Firefox and to purchase another copy of RoboForm, or to image back to NIS 2013.
