Norton Internet Security 4 Mac: Firewall Interference with bitTorrents?

I use a PowerPC G4 Mac; run Mac OS X 10.4.11 - Tiger; and about to install: "Norton Internet Security 4 MAC."

If I install the "firewall" part of the above mentioned software, will I still be able to download "bitTorrents?"  Is it possible to use the above mentioned Norton software without installing the "Firewall" part?
