Norton Internet Security and W8.1 tablet?

I purchased a Dell Venue 8 Pro and have an NIS three platform license with a spare space. I looked in the community posts and I see a lot of "it should work" posts but nothing saying it will or how. I can't find it in the MS store. I checked chat and the person on it claimed that it wouldn't run on W8.1 but sent me to an url that didn't limit it.

Can I load a license on the tablet and, if so, where do I get the appropriate version?

ergo sum

You posted in the Norton 360 Forum but ask about Norotn Internet Security ..... and Dave answered about  360.

Do you want to use the NIS or switch to N 360?

Sorry for the delay. Symantec claims it will notify me of posts, but it never did. Went to check anyway and see your reply.

No, I see no reason to go to 360 if I have a 3 computer license for NIS.I just want to install it on the tablet.

Sorry for posting on the wrong group, but again it's something that Norton did not help with. I'm not all that pleased with support.

I'm sorry if you feel you have not been helped. Can you explain what you think we did not do better?

For the missing notifications, have you checked your Spam folder since automatic notifications often get routed there since they come from what are recognized as robots ......

"Can you explain what you think we did not do better?"

It's really very simple: You still haven't answered the question.

I don't have a Dell Venue Pro 8 tablet -- alas -- but as said above it runs the normal Windows 8 operating system and not the RT.

I am running NIS 2014 on Windows 8.1 Pro

You can download and install a preactivated copy of what you have a licence for by logging onto your Norton account from the tablet and adding the device .....

Like all answers here that is given in good faith and is based on my experience with different hardware. I am a user and not Norton.

Since you are concerned with NIS I've asked for this thread to be moved there for better exposure -- a link will be left here that will take you to the new location.

This is so bizzare.

Sorry for the confusion but the reason why I mentioned 360 is because you posted in the 360 section and I could have sworn your topic also said 360.

Just change 360 to NIS in my answer.

"The Dell Venue 8 Pro runs the full blown "real" version of windows 8.1, just like a desktop or laptop.

So you want the regular NIS download just like if it was a desktop system"

Log into your Norton account to download the latest version or use this link

http://norton.com/latestnis

Sorry about that.
