First, I acknowledge that using 2005 might not be the best, but it works for me and my computer suffers no performance problems. I used 2007 but couldn't deal with the speed degredation. That said, when I upgraded to IE7 I lost my ability to configure my Anti Spam in 2005. I get a script error associated with the options.dll creating a page called option.htm. I've traced the problem to niscmnht.dll which for some unexplained reason doesn't validate IE7. IE6 and back but not IE7. A friend of mine went into chat with tech support and was told a fix was coming. I went into chat with tech support, and they deinstalled and reinstalled 2005 and made no mention of the niscmnht.dll (I figured out the issue after my chat session).
Anyway I have three questions that I hope someone can answer for me. Is Norton actually working on a fix for 2005 to recognise IE7 and if so, when. If not, does anyone know of anyone who has found this issue and modified niscmnht.dll to recognise IE 7. I love Norton products but don't like being bullied into an upgrade that doesn't work well for me and my situation.
