So I bought the 2011 version of Norton Internet Security. It gave me 3 downloads for 3 different computers.
I loaded my computer and then a second one. I no longer have access to the second computer. Can i remove it through "my account" or another way? And if I can't, if I re-new to the version 2012 do they change the product key,so that it doesn't automatically renew on the 2nd computer? Or do I need to bail out and start a new account?
Thanks
If I guess at the situation it would something like you sold your 2nd computer and now your license is expiring. If you renew your subscription you will be using the same key. If you buy a new copy of 2011 or 2012 you will be applying a new key to an expired or expiring subscription. Therefore the 2nd computer will not be able to take advantage. You cannot yourself remove the license on the 2nd machine but technically the 2nd machine no longer has a valid license. It would have been better of course to uninstall any licensed software before the machine came out of your control.
Normally I would say dont worry because until you use your 3rd license and then want to use the 2nd PC license for another machine you do not have an issue. But renewing would not be the way to go if you wanted clarity.
Thank you so much for the info. I contacted thema and they were able to remove the second download.
