I have the same problem as described below (OK, below was an older post and it seems this has created a new thread - old thread is http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-360/Security-Suite-won-t-start-quick-or-full-scan/td-p/957613). neither quick scan, full scan nor the power eraser will start. Product is Norton Internet Security version 21.3.0.1.12.
I had to repair/re-install about a week ago when live update failed. Currently also have what appears to be a driver problem with the laptop as neither the built-in keyboard nor the mouse are working. Keyboard input does work when the bios is started.
Am currently running Microsoft Safety Scanner as Norton appears to have failed. Again.
