I just accessed my AOL Mail account in Windows 7 using IE 10 and NIS 2012 did not stop me or issue any warnings.

Win.XP IE-8 NIS-2012, AOL still blocked.

Check with AOL -- they have a mail support site.

Add me to the list, using mozilla firefox.

Looks like Norton Fixed the FP. I can now get my AOL Mail with Win XP IE-8 NIS - 2012. :smileyvery-happy:

Well, isn't this a fun loving day for us "aol" email users.  It is still down and, based on some prior suggestions listed here, my brother Joe is investigating an IE level 10 upgrade to overcome whatever aol did to their server to become non-compliant in Norton's world.

It's a blessing have a smart computer software engineer in the family at times like this. What brings reality to bare is, when the internet is finally seriously and purposefully compromised by either "friend" or "foe", what are so many of we computer dependent folks going to do?

This wake-up call to being overly reliant on the internet and it's susceptibility to quirks and attacks is unsettling to say the least. Time for a re-evaluation.

Oy... no sooner do I post, and BEHOLD... the site works without the upgrade to IE. Of course, I read earlier it popped in and out again. But thank the LORD it's popped back for now. Still, this was a "wake-up" call.

All,

Are you still seeing this issue? If any of you are, can you attach a screenshot of the error your receive? Mu apologies if this was already posted, I’m viewing this thread through my phone.

Norton seem to have fixed this some time in the small hours! I can now get in on all 3 of my internet platforms (IE, Chrome and Mozilla).  Let's hope there's no recurrence. In fairness, it's the first time in about 10 years I can recall it happening.

Post moved to thread of its own.
