Norton Live Chat terrible transfer problems

Guess I'm not the only one getting frustrated with Live Chat.

I've had a Norton Family problem for days now.

Technicians cannot solve it.

Every time I contact Norton via Live Chat they say my issue [Removed] has to be escalated to a Case Manager. As soon as I see "transferring to a technician" I sit here waiting 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes and nobody ever takes control of the LogMeInRescue session.

Bring back the days of email support I say.

I've now wasted almost 3 hours on live chat just the last two days and I'm no further forward.

When my subscription runs out I think I'll go back to Kaspersky.

Hi supersurrey,

Thanks for the feedback.  I apologize for any inconveniences caused.   The forum is for the product of Norton Family.  I could be wrong, but it sounds like your are referring to Norton antivirus program.  If so, I'll be glad to forward your post to the Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 Forum for better exposure if you could add some details.

Thanks,

Katie

Hi Katie

No, my cases do refer to Norton Family.

I've actually given up with the Product as my issues have dragged on far too long and recently have got fed up with being used as a test bed so Norton Case Managers can try to figure out why I'm getting these issues.

I subsequently found out a number of your other customers were getting similar problems to mine when logging off from Norton Family.

I heard Friday evening that Norton have now issued a Norton Family update, plus patch, to specifically fix these issues.

However I'd already given up and uninstalled it.

I'm now a regular user of Microsoft Family Safety which works much better and I don't get any issues.

Regards.

Hi supersurrey,

You were right that we released an update for Windows 2.9.5.29.  I'm not sure the exact issues you were having, but if you like to give another try, I'll be glad to assist you in any way I can.

Thanks,

Katie
