Norton Liveupdate failing to complete

Been doing this for a week. Everything is updating except for web protection definitions and (hub). Any help?

 I'm not sure what version, Norton Internet Security. I did the Autofix but it still wont update.

If you go to Support/About in the main UI, it will give you your version number, eg 21.1.1.7, which is the latest version.

 

Have you also checked your computer clock time/date, to make sure that is correct ?

 

 

Yeah so I updated it and restarted my pc and now all I get is "A problem has occured that needs your attention: This process is unable to continue because a CD or other media source was removed or disconnected"

Ok so I updated it, it was running smooth, now having an issue with the same thing. Getting this error message 

  Error: (8920,208) 

 

 

Any ideas?

Hi, ConcernedinMD. Those codes indicate an issue with Live Updates, as you've found.

 

A new update is being rolled out to all users as per Tony Weiss' post here.

If updating to this version doesn't fix the problem, I'd advise using the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool, to replace your current install with a fresh one.           The link for that is here   http://www.norton.com/nrnr

 

I'd suggest seeing if v 21.2 as announced fixes the problem. If not, try the Nrrt.

 

Whatever option you take, run Live Update until no more are found.

Not sure this will fix your situationor not, but you my wish to run the Intelligent Updater - sometimes that gets everything back in order by providing your system with the latest definitions.
