Norton Mac "quit unexpectedly"

Everytime i goto run a scan a message "quit unexpectedly". Ive taken a screen shot and copied the details

Hi staroip,

 

I don't know if you have already tried this but I suggest the following steps to be performed and see if it fixes the issue:

 

1. Download RemoveSymantecMacFiles.zip file to remove Norton product for Mac.

2. Double-click the file you downloaded to expand the compressed files, run RemoveSymantecMacFiles.command file.

3. Type the Mac OS X administrator password, press OK.

4. Do one of the following:

  • To remove all Symantec files and folders, type 1
  • To quit RemoveSymantecMacFiles without removing any files, type 2

5. Restart the computer.

6. Reinstall the latest version of Norton Internet Security 5 for Mac or Norton Antivirus 12 for Mac, depending on the license you have purchased. If you purchased Norton 360 Multi-Device license, then you need to download NIS 5 for Mac.

 

Do let us know if the issue gets either resolved or persists after you follow above steps.
