Greetings,
I am currently having an issue with Norton where, when I try to bring up the main window for Norton, it comes up transparent. I also found that if I minimize it and reopen it and wait a few seconds, the window will close itself. Occasionally, some amount of time afterwards, Norton Autofix would open, also in a transparent window, and then close shortly after. I've seen this issue on other threads and tried their solutions to no luck. I've tried restarting my computer, using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool, and Updating my graphics drivers. Any other solution ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I have a nVidia GTX970 based board with the latest drivers downloaded directly from nVidia's update site.
Hi @D.Wenzowitz & @xandirules,
Thanks for reporting this issue in Norton Community Forums. Can you please confirm if you have AMD drivers installed for graphics card on computer?
D.Wenzowitz:Windows 10. And I'm not sure how to get the version since I can't do anything with Norton while the window is transparent but the RnR tool I believe said it would bring it up to the most current version.
First of all the most current version of Norton Security is 22.14.2.13 and you can go to the Control Panel > Programs and Features and the last column on the right for Norton Security will provide you with the version number you have installed.
Have you verified Fast Start is disabled in WIN 10?
Have you tried rolling back your graphics driver to a previous version? As I noted above, sometimes the latest driver is not always the best.
Same issue here.
Removed Norton 360 Premier using tool.
Downloaded latest version available through my Norton account.
Video drivers updated.
Issue remains...
Windows 10
Sounds like it may be a graphics issue. Try updating your graphics driver and restarting your system again. Then test Norton again.
If that does not help, try rolling the driver back to an earlier version. Sometimes the latest is not always the greatest.
I gave it a shot but it was to no avail unfortunately. Window is still transparent. As a result I couldn't run the live update either.
You could try a full restart of your computer, and use the REMOVE option in the advanced section of the RnR Tool for Norton.

After the removal restart your computer again, and try downloading a fresh pre-activated copy of your Norton product from your Norton account.
After the clean install, run Live Update until no more are found, restarting if requested and then restart once more.
Let us know how you go.
