Norton Mobile Security Call Blocking

I have just installed Norton Mobile Security onto my Android phone.  I have the Unknown number box checked and received a call which came up at 'Private Number' I went back into block calls after the call and the call usnt appearing in the call log in the app in order for me to add it to my blocked list.  It is in the main call log on the phone.  Am I missing something? or should i be able to block these type of calls..  Any help would be appreciated.

I can see why you would be puzzled by what seems to be happening.  If you have the "unknown" box ticked then NMS will only block numbers marked as "Restricted" or containing certain groups of characters.  It is possible that the number you had problems with did not fit this pattern (can you tell us what the number was?).  Obviously it would not have shown up in the NMS block history if NMS did not block it.  Are you saying that when you try to add the number to your block list through selecting the + sign that the number does not show in that list?

 

I will certainly draw it to the attention of the team, but if I have misunderstood then please let me know.

Thanks for your reply.  When I received the call it displayed as PRIVATE NUMBER this appears in the phone call log there is no number attached to it.  They havent presented the number in fact they have obviously blocked this at there end.  When you go into the app and try to add it by + the call isnt there and if I try to add it manually its asking for a number which I dont have.

That is very clear and helpful.  Hopefully it will mean that the team are able to find some sort of solution but I cannot promise anything.
