Norton Mobile Security Passcode and other settings

Hi,

I installed Norton Mobile Security on my Samsung Note and activated the full version after purchasing it online. While setting up various features, I remember there was a message popup about my passcode (password) that I need to message. Also there was given a webpage url for me to visit and update any settings.

Now, I did not note these details and do not remember it.

What is the next steps. Please suggest.

Regards,

Pankaj

I sure don't see the passcode in the top right hand corner on either IE or Firefox.  Please help.

Can you login to mobilesecurity.norton.com page using your Norton Account? Once you sign in, click your device icon under Choose a device to Manage. The passcode will be shown in the top right corner of the device options pane along with device lock status.

Please refer to the following screenshot:

Got it.

One reason I missed it was because of the screen login right before the one you posted it only shows EDIT or REMOVE.  I never gave it a thought to actually CLICK ON MY SMARTPHONE NAME because it wasn't highlighted as so.

Thanks

I log into my account and I don't have a passcode in the right hand corner.  If my phone gets locked, I am probably SOL huh?

How do I go about and get a passcode?

Hi BrentDavis

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.:smileyhappy:

If you open the Norton Mobile Security 3.0 application after signing in and registering

NMS 3.0 and tap the Anti-Theft Secure padlock icon for the first time you will be

shown a pop up message with your defaul 4 digit pin and the details on how to use the

SMS remote commands etc.

You should make a note of the 4 digit pin.

You can also find out what your pin is or change the pin to something

you prefer by logging into the Norton Mobile Security Web based Control

Panel from the link below-

https://mobilesecurity.norton.com/

Login to the website with your Norton Account details linked to the

activation and registration of NMS 3.0 on your device.

These would be the details used to Sign In to the app when you

installed registered NMS 3.0 the first time.

Now choose the device form the list and now in the top right of screen

it should show your 4 digit pin and give you the option to edit the pin.

I hope that info is helpfull.

Cheers. :smileywink:

Hi BrentDavis

I cannot see your image yet as it has not been approved yet by the moderator. :-)

Another thing being are you using the paid full version or the Lite version of NMS.?

I ask becasue the NMS Lite version will only allow you to use the SMS Anti-Theft

remote command and the full paid version of NMS 3.0 will allow you to use the

Web Based Control Panel and the SMS remote commands

You can see what the difference is in Anti-Theft features between the 2 products

from the images below-

Paid full version of NMS 3.0 Anti-Theft features-

Free version of NMS 3.0 Lite Anti-Theft features.

It's the full version...do I need to uninstall and reinstall the program to get the passcode again?  I remember it, but I must of moved on not knowing what it was. On my girlfriends phone, this time I took a pic to have a record of it.

Is there a way to recover the passcode.  I login into my account and can't find anyway to edit, recover, etc.  One doesn't exist in my account.

Hi BrentDavis

The answer is yes you can recover it but it is the Norton Mobile Security

Control Panel that you will have to login to not your Norton Account if that

is what you are trying to do.

Norton Mbile Security Website Link below-

https://mobilesecurity.norton.com/

When you use your Norton Account details to login to this website you

have to select the device you wish to Manage.

If for some reason it is not showing the pin in the top right of screen once

you have logged in and selected the correct device you could try uninstalling

NMS 3.0 and download and install again and sign in with the same Norton

Account details to once again activate NMS 3.0.

And tap the Anti-Theft box and take note of the default pin given, and try and

login in to the Norton Mobile Security Control Panel here  again to Manage your

device and use the remote command web based features of the full paid version

of NMS 3.0.

Cheers. :smileywink:
