NORTON Must do better: Customer Loyalty benefits / Products

I recently had a problem - the appearance of a strange Norton icon on my bottom task bar: http://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-icon-bottom-tool-bar-has-changed-redirection-another-web-address

The first reply mentioned 'NS with Back-up' which I'd not heard of before. A search here told me nothing, neither did the Norton Home Products page nor is it listed at the bottom of this page. I've always had NIS - the standard version - for three devices - and it seemed that I was now being forced to change to this new product: with the choice Standard for one device (I have 2 PCs) or DeLuxe for 5 devices = smart marketing =  will cost me, if I stay, my other alternative being to go elsewhere.

I was preparing a rant on the subject but need to compare prices as well as products, so I went to My Account>Renew Now. And there I found that those wonderful folk at Norton have some loyalty bonuses. This meant that I could renew and upgrade now through to Dec 2017 with added benefits such as 'up to 10 devices'. Clearly a Loyalty Reward for Existing Customers. But if my subscription had been due this month not December, based on what Norton's website told me (or rather didn't tell me) I would have had no alternative but to leave Norton. So Norton - please get your advertising together and highlight such things for existing customers - please on pages such as this one http://uk.norton.com/norton-security-antivirus where you could have a link for "Existing Norton Customer?"

And mention somewhere the change of name for the 'NIS with backup' products.
