Norton support created changes to my settings but did not let me know what they were.
The settings were related to Synology NAS.
The CHAT message from Norton stated “We have removed Synology” but i do not know what this means.
Next, Norton put me in contact with a paid support for 3rd party products.
Synology support proved conclusivly that Norton was stopping a service being created between my PC & my Synology NAS, yet Norton could not identify the issue.
What should I do since Synology cannot setup the backup process between my pc and nas until Norton stops blocking it?
Thanks

What does Norton 360 > Security History report related to Norton block?
What Norton engine? block Synology executable? block data transfer?
block .tmp file created by moving files? block network traffic?
Norton 360 v22 or v24?
I downloaded/exported the history, but no apps could read it.
Thanks for ypour thoughts.
I have reinstalled Norton and shall try the Synology backup again - some time.
Yes, saved as text, but still could not be read.
Thanks for the info.
Norton has been reinstalled to defaulkt settings, so waiting for Synology support to test it.
Thanks again for your input.
I do not have an issue with my Synology DS220J NAS, I am running DSM 7.2.1-69057 Update 5.
I am running Norton 360 v22.24.8.36 I use GoodSync to backup and synch my desktop PC, Laptop, and NAS. I use Hyper Backup to back up the NAS to DropBox. I also manually run LiveUpdate in Norton, I occassionally find some updates do not install automatically. Hope this Helps.
