Norton on PC says no subscription Until I try to uninstall it when suddenly it remembers. Both screenshots from same PC where Schrödinger’s Norton is both subscribed and not subscribed to according to Norton.

Is your computer constantly connected to the internet? If not, the 360 app cannot connect to the subscription servers to verify your valid subscription and the app will stop working.

Thanks for your reply peterweb. I had three subscriptions with different keys for Norton. One was expired from a while back and an either an offer came up or I got Norton free with a change of ISP. I also recall renewing at a discount previously, but not sure if that was a recent subscription or not.

Long story short, even though I have two active keys that both run for the same period (I may have had too many devices I wanted to cover for one, but in any case I have two active… long story short… they key I had on my PC was one of the active ones, but for some reason even though it displays 60 days left it also says “subscription expired” and won’t connect to the servers.

As soon as I input the other key for the same subscription period which is also under my email, that worked and connected immediately to update after a reboot. I’ve gone weeks without updates after the first key turned into Schroedengers Norton and didn’t know whether it was subscribed or not.

Basically the other key I had which is also valid on my account when I log in here works perfectly on my PC. The other one WAS working fine for most of a year, so whatever happened there is a mystery I guess.

Just letting people know how the problem was solved as I did see several other posts on the exact same topic of having subscriptions and not being able to connect when I was trying to find my own post.

As you have multiple active subscriptions, it might be worth contacting Norton Support to see if they could combine your subscriptions into one that covers the number of devices you need to protect. That will make it easier to maintain going forward. Contact Norton™Support - Norton Phone Number, and Chat Support . If using the chat feature, as soon as you can enter information enter Agent Please to get connected with a real human.
